Band Reminders 3/9/2015
These events comprise 50% of your grade!
Afterschool Practice this week
· All High School Students: After school rehearsal Monday 3-9; 4:00-6:00
· All High School Students: After school rehearsal Wednesday 3-11; 4:00-6:00
OMEA on Friday
· MANDITORY (no excused absences) Afterschool Practice from 3:30-5:00
o Warm up
o Run though
o Sight read
· Load equipment in the van 5:00-5:30
· Eat Dinner 5:30-6:15
o Bring in $3 by Wednesday and we will order pizza, drinks and chips
o Students will not be permitted to leave and walk to dinner. We are eating here. You can bring food, have some dropped off, or bring $3 on Wednesday and get some pizza.
· Leave on the bus at 6:30
· Arrive in Harrison around 7:00
· Watch and Listen to:
o Mariemont High School Band – Class C at 7:15
o LaSalle High School Band – Class B at 8:00
· Unload instruments and go to home room at 8:30
· Depart home room for warm up and performance 9:40
· Perform at 10:15pm
o Parents, family, and friends welcome!
· Sigh Read at 10:55
o Band students only
· Pack up and get rating
· Depart Harrison around 11:40
· Arrive at Mt. Healthy around 12:00
· Everyone in Concert Dress, see your syllabus for details.
o Black pants (not jeans) or Black skirt
o White collared dress shirt
o Black shocks, Black shoes, and Black belt
